The Competitor is an artistic plate for the beginner skater that is accustom to a standard 10 degree double action plate. The plate is cast aluminum with cast aluminum trucks, which makes it a great beginner plate that’s cost effective! Off-set adjustable toe stop allows the skater to push off more efficiently and more consistently then a standard straight toe stop design. 

The Sure-Grip Competitor also comes with a jump bar for added stability. 

Plate size is not the same as boot/shoe size. Your boot/shoe size will tell us the plate size you need. Providing us with the length of your sole (measured to the nearest centimeter) will also help us determine the proper plate size.

      HOLIDAY RETURN EXTENSION: For orders placed between 11/1/2024 and 1/1/2025, we offer a 60-day return window for refunds back to the original payment method.

    • Returns for exchange or store credit ship back free of charge!

    • Returns for refund to original payment method are subject to a return shipping fee ($12-$18 depending on location)

    • Items must be returned in new condition and with their original product box in order to receive a full refund. Items returned with visible signs of use (scuffs, dirt, hair or other debris) or missing components may be rejected by our Returns Department or charged a 20%-50% damage fee (deducted from refund).

    A great sturdy plate that does what it is supposed to do. Ive made 2 pairs of skates using this style and absolutely love it. The one upgrade I suggest anyone perform is the sure-grip Harry's stud reverse kingpin swap. Makes truck adjustments much easier :)

    I love them. They are nice and light and are a great value for the money. And the purchase was for my second set as i have two pairs of quad skates

    Perfect Beginner Plate

    Perfect beginner plate: inexpensive, durable construction, forgiving when mounting for the first time. Held up well to a first skate and can't wait for second and beyond. I would definitely use these plates again on a future build.

    A Friend of mine suggested the competitor plates to me because of all the stunts I would do while roller skating. I've had them on for 20 years on my Dominion Boots. I had my skates for 26 years. After 6 years I changed my plates. Now it's time for new boots only. I have no need to replace my plates. They are still good as new.
