VNLA (Vanilla) has designed and manufactured high-end roller skates and skate components since 2005 and is the premier brand for jam and rhythm skaters. The Á La Mode is the newest addition to the VNLA collection and is the sweet ride skaters have been asking for!
The boot is made from genuine suede in Mocha Brown. The boot offers structured support throughout and is lined with an ultra-comfy patterned liner to keep your feet feeling snug.
This skate comes with Sure-Grip Avanti plate in Aluminum! Sure-Grip brings you the next generation in plate design, the Avanti. The plates feature 10 degree and ultra-responsive double action in a sleek hollow design that offers performance and durability without sacrificing lightness. The trucks on the Aluminum plate have a fixed adjustment.
This set up comes with Sure-Grip Velvet wheels, a reinvention of vintage Vanathane wheels. Vanathane wheels were a term used for the early roller and skateboard wheels from the decades before urethane wheels. Traditionally these wheels are known for providing a perfect balance between slip and grip on hardwood skating floors, with resistance against flat spots/flattening. The wheels are complete with VNLA Reaction ABEC-9 bearings.
Sizing tip: the A La Mode boot runs approximately 1/2 size large. Half sizes should go DOWN 1/2 size as opposed to up. If your boot is a little roomy, we recommend adding a VNLA Contour Insole.
