Riedell R3 Cosmic Superfly Speed Skates

I know that $180 is a lot of money for a pair of skates. However when you are looking at other speed skates and a lot of them were $300+. $180 isn’t such a bad price. Overall, I love these skates. As is, right out of the box they are an excellent pair of skates.

I can't begin to explain the joy these skates brought to my kid for his birthday. Very good quality skate.

These remind me so much of my old school Riedell Carerra skates I bought with my first paycheck as a DJ at the skating rink 25 years ago with one exception... Comfort. These are far above the comfort of those original Carerra skates with some added cushion around the ankle. Highly recommend these for anyone that prefers the old school look of quads with some added comfort.

if you have been using rentals, these are going to completely blow you away. they are fast, smooth, with very good maneuverability. my twin sister bought the same pair in a different size and needed to tighten her trucks when they arrived but mine looked similar but felt really good, i think its just skater preference and not an issue with assembly. i wear a ladies 12 shoe but the riedell 11 is much too big, as is the 10, but the 9 (which i am wearing) are a touch too small, just a few millimeters but enough to cause toe and toenail issues. I believe this will get better as they break in, and i am experimenting with various lacing styles to try to remedy the issue. (i wish riedell would offer half sizes....) i got mine with purple wheels and i put on purple toe stops and purple led lights for the baddest skates on the rink.

The boots are well made without any areas that rub my feet wrong. The wheels have decent bearings that have a nice glide.

I recently purchased this skate set, except with all 8 green soft 90A wheels, abec 7 bearings, very fast rolling, good control with nylon plate abs metal trucks, Riedell R3 boot size 11 (same as multi tennis shoes) fit well and feels good with extraadding. Good beginner speed skates or even if you skate well—would buy again!! Excellent customer service and delivery by Roller

I was looking for outdoor skates, but the first pair of another brand that I bought didn't fit well. I decided to give these Riedell skates a try and I'm really enjoying them so far. Swapped the wheels with outdoor wheels (keeping the Cosmic wheels as an indoor backup) and have been getting plenty of exercise and practice around my neighborhood between my trips to the local skating rink. I emailed and spoke with Thania at Roller Skate Nation, who answered all of my questions and helped with the exchange. Overall, it went very smoothly, and I'll continue to use RSN for my skating needs!
