VNLA (Vanilla) has designed and manufactured high-end roller skates and skate components since 2005 and is the premier brand for jam and rhythm skaters. The Á La Mode is the newest addition to the VNLA collection and is the sweet ride skaters have been asking for!

The boot is made from genuine suede in 5 creamy colors inspired by your favorite sweet treats: Blue Moon, Pistachio Green, Mocha Brown, Ube Purple and Creamsicle Orange (coming soon). The boot offers structured support throughout and is lined with an ultra-comfy patterned liner to keep your feet feeling snug. 

The RC Medallion wheels are the cherry on top of your Á La Mode! The super high grip urethane roller skate wheels with superior roll. The wheels are 57mm x 30mm (96A) and come complete with ABEC-7 bearings.

Sizing tip: the A La Mode boot runs approximately 1/2 size large. Half sizes should go DOWN 1/2 size as opposed to up. If your boot is a little roomy, we recommend adding a VNLA Contour Insole. 

For example:

If you wear a Ladies' 8.5 shoe, order the Men's 7 (Ladies' 8-8.5). 

If you wear a Men's 10.5 shoe, order the Men's 10 (Ladies' 11-11.5).

We also have a "Worry Free Guarantee" - if the skates are not a great fit just send them back to us and we'll ship you out a better size at no additional cost.

    • POLICY

      HOLIDAY RETURN EXTENSION: For orders placed between 11/1/2025 and 1/1/2026, we offer a 60-day return window for refunds back to the original payment method.

    • We offer a 30-day return policy and a 90-day exchange policy (available to customers in the U.S.A only).

    • Returns for exchange or store credit ship back free of charge!

    • Returns for refund to original payment method are subject to a return shipping fee ($12-$18 depending on location)

    • Items must be returned in new condition and with their original product box in order to receive a full refund. Items returned with visible signs of use (scuffs, dirt, hair or other debris) or missing components may be rejected by our Returns Department or charged a 20%-50% damage fee (deducted from refund).

    • Once we receive your return, please allow 3-5 business days for your return to be processed.

    Love these skates

    Got these as my first pair of skates ever and so far I am loving them. The color is so cute, the skates are comfy (they will need a liiiiiittle breaking in, but nothing bad) and they perform well for a beginner! Would definitely order these skates again. Shipping was super fast and they came right away!

    I’m still a beginner skater, and recently decided to upgrade from cheap skates. These are so comfortable and feel like they were made for my feet. I was expecting a learning curve as they are new and more professional “glidey” skates, but I skated better than I ever have. Lovely skates that are more “budget-friendly”
