Speed skates are roller skates that have a lower cut ankle height, which tends to be more comfortable and offers more range of motion than high top roller skates. Quad skates are usually used for indoor skating at roller rinks, they are the most popular roller skate currently offered. They can be used for skaters that skate at the roller rink for fun or for speed skaters, derby skaters, and jam skaters. These are also ideal for kids and beginner skaters.
