Elite components
The Riedell 297 Professional high top roller skate boots (medium-width) are hand made in the USA with full grain leather top and moisture resistant top grain leather lining. Designed for artistic or rhythm skating; this boot is every skaters dream! The ankle padding, reinforced quarters, shearling tongue lining offers a better fit and amazing comfort. The cork heel is shock absorbing keeping you balanced and stable.
The Snyder Advantage Plate gets it's light weight and strength thanks to extruded 7000 series aluminum. Precision CNC machining makes each and every plate identical to the one before it, when buying an Advantage plate you know you are getting something perfect, and Sure-Grip wouldn’t have it any other way. Forged trucks (7mm) for superior strength, steel king pin and steel axles are standard but titanium can be an option, rubber cushions standard offering superior feel feedback, and adjustable pivots giving the skater complete control over performance.
Powell Elite wheels are precision cast with RollerBones' best-rolling, tightest-gripping, longest-lasting urethane. This unique material was also developed by RollerBones and introduced in the early 1990's. Like RollerBones' art competition wheels, this material has been copied but not duplicated. Bones Swiss bearings are the standard by which all other bearings are measured. They are professional competition grade bearings, in both speed and durability. With a nylon ball retainer for strength and speed; rubber shield for easy removal for cleaning and low friction.
These Riedell 297 Advantage Elite roller skates are the ultimate package!
IMPORTANT NOTE: For the Riedell 297 boot, we require a fitting prior to shipping the whole skate package. We require this because this is a custom skate and typically both men & women need to go up 1 full size from their normal shoe size. We will ship you the boot for sizing along with a pre-paid label to return it back to us. It is best to lace up the boots and sit with them on for a good 30 minutes to ensure an accurate fit. Once fit is confirmed, we will ship you your fully mounted roller skates.

Beyond Satisfied
My wife received her skates today. She is super happy. Lauren and Nathan went above and beyond to make sure we ordered the correct skates. Fit and finish of the skates is perfect. And I will definitely be buying more skates from you in the future.

Silicone treatment and smaller wheels
The "trick" is to have clean feet and use an antiperspirant on your feet. This is also essential with snowboarding and skiing. I use Obenauf's Water Shield 16 Fl. Oz. hand spray waterproofing. Follow the instructions. I chose the smaller, slower wheels, because I'm on Medicare and want to go slower with a better "edge." I followed the instructions and wore my skates on a rug, a lot, to assure a proper fit. It was very difficult to get my foot in, but there was no slipping with maneuvers. I have my own method of lacing pattern, and rollerskatenation.com has some advices on different lacing patterns. I have used Riedell for decades and absolutely, as long as you carefully fit the boot, you will never be disappointed. Keep the boot dry on the inside with an antiperspirant, and silicone spray, and on the outside with Sno Seal for ice skates. I chose rollerskatenation.com because of its return policy, best price, free shipping, and also because they are enthusiasts. I don't know what their return deal is, but typically that might involve shipping charges, and some financial penalty of some sort, but maybe not with rollerskateantion. I don't know. ABSOLUTELY, you may not rink skate and return the skates! Forty years ago, I had Microstars on a Riedell boot, and I like these more.
