Riedell Angel Skates
These were the first riedell skates which fit my budget and it’s been about two weeks and these are my thoughts: These skates don’t come in half sizes (I’m a 4.5 in riedells) but it said to size up to the nearest whole size which was a 5 and to be honest, there is a bit of space left even after putting two insoles to try and eat up a bit more. Other than that, I would say these skates are definitely a bang for your buck and don’t regret purchasing them! If you’re worried about sizing up and really want these skates, just double the insoles and wear thicker socks and you’ll be good to go (I wear socks between thick and thin and tie the laces really tight and they’re fine)

Size
Well they are tight so I’m returning them for a bigger size

Best skates!
I have to admit I'm a beginner, but I didn't even have to break them in. I can't explain it, they are soft but offer ankle support, and they skate super smooth on the rink. Love them! (and other people too).

WOW
I am a 61 yr old grandmother who takes her granddaughter skating every Saturday if I can. My husband bought these for me and I used them for the first time yesterday. I absolutely love the fact that they are so light that it seems you just glide across the floor without even moving your legs, I have to get used to them because the rental skates are heavy and after awhile hurt your ankles. I never felt uncomfortable in them and they are true to size. I would recommend these skates to anyone, any age, to get these skates if they are wanting something that is comfortable, easy to use, and makes you feel like you are flying as the angel they are named for!

Great first pair of skates
I'm 6'3", average build, about 175lbs and wear a size 12 in shoes. First of all, if you enjoy skating and typically use the rental skates, I suggest getting your own pair. A good pair of skates makes all the difference in the experience in my opinion. These skates are fantastic for indoor and for those seeking to groove or dance a bit. I appreciate the grip that the wheels provide; it makes feel more confident and in control, especially around corners. I also like the pivot action of the truck, you really can get into your moves. As one mentions, the boot is somewhat stiff and hits above my ankle about 4.5 inches. I feel that they will be more comfortable after being broken in. I also do not lace them all the way to the top to give my leg more room for squatting etc. Otherwise, the fit is just right shoe wise and I have had no blisters or other feet issues after 2-3 hrs of continuous skating; I also use a performance sock. I do not have anything to compare to other than rental skates; however, I am completely satisfied with the Ridell Angel brand so far. The only change would be that I might make is choosing a boot that does not come up the leg as much.
