Riedell leather 595 skate boots are made right here in the USA using the highest quality materials. The tops of these Riedell speed skate boots are made from hand sorted full grain leather with a full grain Chinook leather lining. There is little padding in the boot but the dense foam tongue offers all the comfort you will need while skating. The nylon snug tie offers a customizable fit around the heel for a better fit and maximum stability. The Riedell HF-5 heat moldable reinforcement is featured on the outside quarter of the right boot. The stitched and cemented leather outsole makes the Riedell speed skate boots ultra-durable.
The Sunlite plate gives you the best of both worlds; the lightweight agility you love about nylon plates plus long-lasting durability! The Patented V Bracing design gives this plate optimum strength, yet they are 40% lighter than conventional aluminum plates. I bought these factory second 595 Sunlite Fugitive "factory second" skates on the Labor Day sale and only paid $328 shipped. I was a little unsure about the factory second aspect but rest assured they had only a few very small cosmetic issues. A small hole about the size of a small pea was punched in the side on the tongue (I'm guessing to show that they're factory seconds ??♂️) but it's unable to be seen when they're laced up. Mostly really only on the sole anyway :). I already have removed the plates, wheels, and bearings and mounted some Sure-Grip Cyclone NTS plates with clip axles, Beagle Bearings, and Backspin Astro Wheels that I already had. Now I can sell the stuff I removed and will have gotten a sweet deal on some 595's. I couldn't have been happier with this purchase. Thanks :)
