VNLA (Vanilla) has designed and manufactured high-end roller skates and skate components since 2005 and is the premier brand for jam and rhythm skaters. The Á La Mode velvet roller skate is the newest addition to the VNLA collection and is the sweet ride skaters have been asking for!

The boot is made from genuine suede in 5 creamy colors inspired by your favorite sweet treats: Blue Moon, Pistachio Green, Mocha Brown, Ube Purple and Creamsicle Orange (coming soon). The boot offers structured support throughout and is lined with an ultra-comfy patterned liner to keep your feet feeling snug. 

 This set up comes with Sure-Grip Velvet wheels, a reinvention of vintage vanathane wheels. Vanathane wheels were a term used for the early roller and skateboard wheels from the decades before urethane wheels. Traditionally these wheels are known for providing a perfect balance between slip and grip on hardwood skating floors, with resistance against flat spots/flattening.

The Reds Bearings by Bones offer a removable single, non-contact shield that makes cleaning easier, and reduces friction during use. Pre-lubricated with Speed Cream and secured with a nylon ball retainer allowing for better speed and heightened speed. 

Sizing tip: the A La Mode velvet roller skate boot runs approximately 1/2 size large. Half sizes should go DOWN 1/2 size as opposed to up. If your boot is a little roomy, we recommend adding a VNLA Contour Insole. 

For example:

If you wear a Ladies' 8.5 shoe, order the Men's 7 (Ladies' 8-8.5). 

If you wear a Men's 10.5 shoe, order the Men's 10 (Ladies' 11-11.5).

  • Returns and Exchanges

    • POLICY

      HOLIDAY EXTENSION: For orders placed between November 1st, 2023 and January 1st, 2024, we will accept returns up to 60 days after the date your order was delivered, and exchanges up to 90 days after the date your order was delivered

      • We offer a 30-day return policy and a 90-day exchange policy (available to customers in the U.S. and Canada only).

      • Returns for exchange or store credit ship back free of charge!

      • Returns for refund to original payment method are subject to a return shipping fee ($12-$18 depending on location)

      • Items must be returned in new condition and with their original product box in order to receive a full refund. Items returned with visible signs of use (scuffs, dirt, hair or other debris) or missing components may be rejected by our Returns Department or charged a 20%-50% damage fee (deducted from refund).

      • Once we receive your return, please allow 3-5 business days for your return to be processed.
