Boardwalk skates
I am 49 and getting back into skating since I was a kid. I initially wanted the Moxi Lolly, but a friend that was a derby skater recommended the Sure Grip to me. I need a skate with a wider toe box and a lower price point—and I didn’t want to sacrifice quality. These skates have delivered!!! They fit like a GLOVE! So comfy from the get-go, and I just love them. For size reference, I wear a 38 Euro Birkenstock, 6 mens Vans, 7.5 womens and I ordered a 6 and they are PERFECT. I do not have wide feet, but I do have a “slight” bunionette on my left pinky toe which is why I leaned towards wanting a wider toe box. Estro Jen has a video on YouTube on how to break in your skates on the Moxi channel that I found helpful. Also if you are new again to skating like me, I can’t recommend Dirty Debby Harry Skate School high enough. She’s so, so good. *The ordering process was so easy on the skates, got here quickly, free shipping. Easy easy. 10/10. Live life, you guys! You’re never too old!!!! Thanks Rollerskatenation!!!

Nice
This is only my second pair of skates. I have impala skates but decided I should upgrade after months of skating. I love my new skates and the wheels are so smooth. I wear a 8.5-9 in women's and I purchased a men's size 8 and they fit perfectly! Just have to wear long socks with them to prevent blisters on the back of my ankle!

Extremely high quality for entry level. Worth every penny.
I saw the price and thought "that's a bit high for an entry level skate" but when you look at the high quality, thick suede (my favorite shoe material) boot and the renowned durability of the rock plate, I realized it's actually a bit of a steal. The sole is stitched, which is more than some other brands seem to do at even higher price points, which means the boot should last a long time even if you're rough with them. Rollerskate Nation helped me select the right size for me after I contacted them. These are one of a few options in the price range that could fit my big feet. I really wish the red boardwalks came in my size, though, I would have preferred more fun colors, but you take what you can get when your feet are this big. These fit my wide feet nicely, no pinch in the toes. I did have a little bit of room in the heel and I added some Powerslide heel supports and now the boot fits perfectly to my feet. The only complaint I have is that the plates are riveted in, rather than bolted in, which means it will be more difficult to change the plate later. Having seen youtubers do it, though, the riveted on plates can be removed and replaced using a standard mounting kit, if you are determined. I am probably not that determined, though. Power transfer is great. I come from an inline skating background and I was a bit blown away by how effortlessly I can pick up speed on these. They also needed almost zero adjustments out-of-box, they were really ready to roll as soon as I got them.
